Personal Portraits is my response to a D&AD brief to imagine a Hoarding Design for the V&A museum. The key elements to consider were the time that it would be on display for. It had to be informative to the general public and encourage people to visit. To engage passers by, I added an element of interactivity so people could relate to the content on a personal level. The idea extends into the V&A museum where a gallery would be set up to display the portraits taken by people. It is inspired by the variety of works that the museum has to offer and the visual identity is aligned to that of the V&A. It allows passers by to create their portrait with reference to ones that are in the many galleries. There is a choice of different materials and information is provided about each.
V&A Personal Portraits - Concept art
V&A Personal Portraits is a response to a D&AD brief to imagine a hoarding design for the V&A museum to last from 2013-2016 over their redevelopment future plans. In order to complete this project a lot of primary and secondary research was undertaken. Understanding what the V&A museum has to offer was vital in getting this project right.
